UWE-MSc Marketing Management
MSc Marketing Management
University of the West of England (UWE Bristol Business School)
Our MSc Marketing Management will allow you to establish yourself as a fully rounded marketing professional. Develop the analytical and responsive planning skills and experience needed to coordinate complex and intricate marketing strategies, from brand strategy and marketing communications to product launches.
You'll also learn how marketing activities are managed in different contexts. This allows you to perform effectively whether you're working in corporate or non-profit sectors, local markets, global markets and everything in between.
Designed in collaboration with employers, the MSc Marketing Management at Bristol Business School is delivered by industry experts, many of whom are active in business management-related research. Our practitioner-led teaching approach and curriculum is continually updated to reflect the fast-moving environment in which modern businesses operate.
We know it's not where you start but where you finish that matters. With this in mind, we've designed a skills and aspirations audit on arrival. This will help you identify gaps in your knowledge, including digital literacy, and guide you in choosing the right career path. Throughout the course, you'll receive tailored support to develop your skills and track your personal and professional growth.
This feeds into the Careers Catalyst module, which enables you to reflect on your aspirations, build a relevant skillset and develop your personal unique selling point.
You'll also enjoy access to and dialogue with business leaders, debating current, relevant topics at our popular annual Masters' Business Conference.
When you graduate, you'll be ideally placed to pursue strategic roles such as marketing manager, brand strategist or marketing consultant in almost any industry or sector.
With or without a marketing background or experience, you'll be well positioned to progress quickly in your chosen career.

Overview
Going-to-Market is designed to both introduce students to the key principles of marketing, and to provide the opportunity to apply and integrate these principles by taking a new brand concept through from creation to launch plan.
Using a combination of groupwork and individual assessment, and guided by the knowledge above, students will experience aspects of conducting marketing in the workplace, including reading data to support decision-making and produce creative solutions, using assistive technology and software, teamworking, and communicating decisions and solutions persuasively and confidently in written and presentation form.
Educational Aims
The identity module is where the core marketing content is delivered and assessed. As such, the syllabus is broad and holistic, enabling students to understand and apply the marketing practices and skills necessary for going-to-market; taking a new brand through from conception to launch.
The module allows students to learn about the different contexts within which marketing occurs (nonprofit/for-profit, tangible/services, business-to-consumer/business-to-business) and gives them to opportunity to choose a focal context within their assessment.
Students will be able to recognise the impact of contemporary issues in the external environment (new and emerging technologies, customer and market expectations regarding professional norms and social responsibilities) and accommodate this in their marketing decision-making.
