Learn how to use and apply consumer behaviour theory when developing marketing strategies. Discover how brands are constructed, produce value and what they mean for a variety of stakeholder groups. In modern marketing, versatile skills are essential. Marketers must be sensitive to customers, and understand the importance of brand perception. On this course, you’ll develop your understanding of branding and consumer behaviour and its usefulness for marketing management. Upon graduating, you’ll have a distinctive skillset — perfect for entering a range of rewarding positions.
This course has modules in both consumer behaviour and branding, which work to complement one another. It draws upon psychology, branding, consumer culture studies and management — examining the consumer both as an individual, and within certain groups.
A variety of learning and teaching methods will be used to facilitate the development of knowledge, understanding and skills. The approaches taken vary between modules as appropriate for the subject material and the required learning outcomes.
